John requested donations (rather than flowers) in support of both Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) and St Catherine's Hospice (West Sussex & East Surrey). He had always been passionate about the work of the Air Ambulance and recognised the extraordinary work they do. Then, since his diagnosis of pancreatic cancer in 2019, John was supported by his local St Catherine's Hospice team - a charity which offered him and his partner unwavering support.
